Our Mission

The mission of FIRST Robotics is to “inspire young people to be science and technology leaders, by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build science, engineering and technology skills, that inspire innovation, and that foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, and leadership.”

Team Fusion Robotics Team #364 has, for over ten years, worked to inspire others, encourage younger teams, overcome obstacles, embrace challenges, and learn from hardships. As Mississippi’s premier FIRST robotics team, Team Fusion has remained faithful in our conquest to stay active in our community and embellish all, young and old, with technology, science, and the latest cutting-edge information. By understanding that today’s young people are tomorrow’s future, we strive to change the world in which we live in a positive aspect.

FIRST is what we, as a team and an influence to many, are all bout. The aim of “gracious professionalism,” in which teams share ideas, strategies, and even help other teams with robot repairs, rises above all other ideas. From the thrill and excitement of competition to the creation of lifelong friendships to the long, hard-working building process, we strive to teach “today’s tomorrow” how to embrace problem-solving, how to work well with others, and how to share ideas with peers and older mentors and then put them into action, which is a vital skill needed in both the working field and in everyday life.
